For the past decade, my animation teacher worked on bringing her own original series to life through an animated pilot, pitch-book and Kickstarter fundraising. Using her own experience as an artist and animator for studios and freelance projects, most notably Hazbin Hotel, she led a panel at Metrocon and provided a brief but insightful lecture on how to lift your own ideas for animated series off the ground. While it was much less about storytelling and more about presenting, I thought it would be nice to share the notes I took from this lecture in case anyone here has animated series concepts of their own. Even if you've got some sketches, concept art, scripts and pitch ideas in stock, you may not have a strong grasp of where to go
